Chennai Man Booked For Beating Pet Dog And Abusing An Activist

On Saturday, the local police said that a 42-year-old man was detained for hitting his beloved dog after tying it to an electricity pole outside his residence.

The event, which occurred a few days ago, was captured on film by his neighbors, and the footage quickly went viral on social media, according to the police.

Based on the viral social media post, the Humane Animal Society’s Mini Vasudevan questioned the guy Marimuthu, a daily wage worker, who reportedly abused her. She had filed a complaint, which resulted in his arrest, appearance in court, and confinement in a sub-jail.

Meanwhile, the dog, which had internal and exterior injuries, was housed at a community centre for recovery.
