Max von Stephanitz created this royal dog in 1889 in Germany. The idea behind creating this type of dog is have a working dog that was intelligent, strong, loyal and protective. These instincts made GSD one of the most popular dog breed in the world.

A common myth among people is that German shepherd are bred from wolves, but that is not correct. These are a soft hearted breed who are so loyal that they will die protecting their family member or owners. They consider their human companion as their family and will do anything for them.
