ISTANBUL, Turkey (NBC News) – A golden retriever raced with an ambulance carrying its owner who had fallen ill in Istanbul last week.
The woman’s dog tried to get in and accompany her to the hospital when the ambulance came but after being rejected by the staff, the dog decided to follow the vehicle.
The race ended when the ambulance arrived at the hospital where the owner was taken inside while the dog patiently waited outside.
