About Doberman Pinscher
The Doberman Pinscher was developed in Germany in the late 19th century by Karl Friedrich Louis Dobermann, a tax collector who wanted a loyal, protective dog to accompany him on his rounds. The breed combines several breeds, including the Rottweiler, German Pinscher, and Black and Tan Terrier. The name "Pinscher" means "terrier" in German, and the breed is often simply called the "Doberman" in many countries, omitting the "Pinscher".
